All Girl Public Elementary School!

There are possibly others around the US but I’m thrilled that there is one in my home state of Minnesota. I’ve written before on the benefit of separating girls and boys at around 5th Grade for purposes that are social and relational. But check out this school and the article around it for the points it makes…in particular the following, “Educators long ago learned that sometime after fifth grade, many girls start to underplay their talents, abilities and ambitions. The reasons vary from the psychological to the hormonal to the social, with notable research questioning whether co-ed classes are a factor. Do boys overwhelm the girls with their boisterousness and confidence? Or do girls just roll their eyes and opt for raising their grades more than raising their hands?”
