Child Deaths Are Testing Faith-Healing Exemptions.

There’s been a long tension between the state respecting parental soveriegnty and the practice of faith healing. Many states have exemptions that eliminate the possibility of a parent being tried for abuse if the child becomes ill or dies due to religious convictions that prohibit the use of physicians.
