Children’s Ministry and Culture

Observing the ideas and trends that shape children’s ministry

The Book of Acts (Part 1)

with one comment

This next month is going to be extremely busy for me. My next book Divine Intentions (Victor) needs be wrapped up by mid-November. Instead of disappearing all together I’ll be focusing all my posts on applications that the book of Acts has on children’s ministry….

Acts 2: Here are some metaphors we can use to explain the “abundant life” to children.

-Being filled with the Spirit is like being a burning bush.

-Being filled with the Spirit is like breathing God’s breath.

- Being filled with the Spirit is like being a living temple.

God wove each of these word pictures into Pentecost to explain the purposes behind sending the Holy Spirit.
